“Blind Assistant Smart Cap Via Mobile Application” is a system which will help blind person to navigate the paths and easily move towards its destination without any hurdles in the way.
According to WHO, 2.2 billion people are visually impaired.
This system can be used as a subordinate for a blind person that can serve him everywhere just by giving simple audio commands. This system will be capable to detect object and give an audible output through a handset. It can also measure the distance between an object and the user. This device can also help the blind for reading purpose means it can read anything that the blind wants to read. This project can be used by the blind in any ambiguous condition by means of making a video call to his/her selected person. This system can be operated/controlled through a mobile application which takes voice commands and the device will do it.
This device is a real-time system that monitors the environment and provides audio feedback about the environment.

Without any help of other person, for visual impaired person this device will detects objects, measures the distance how far the object and give an audible output.
This device can also help the blind for reading purpose.
Our application also has a feature to give video calls and sending the live location in case of any emergency to the concerned persons.
It is cheaper device, easy to use and easy to carry.
This smart cap will be developed comprising of main equipments like Raspberry pi board, Pi Camera, Power bank (battery), handsfree.
Raspberry pi board acts like the brain of the device. It will process and executes the commands given by the user and produce audible output. The Pi Camera(8MP) is used for object detection and distance measurement along with algorithms. The Pi Camera is also used when the reading feature is working. The Power bank is used to start the device. The handsfree is connected to the output port of Raspberry Pi Board. It is used to produce audible output.
