Project Area of Specialization RoboticsProject SummaryA lot of developments have been made in the field of bipedal robots around the world. Bipedal walking is quite complex in robotics.The 3D design of bipedal robot is based on the requirements to fulfill the walking task keeping its balance maintained. Keeping that in mind the design contains 4 motors in each leg of the robot helping it to maintain its weight on either leg during walking. The specific scenario created with this design is that we are using a camera with its controller to identify its surroundings in order to walk properly without colliding with any object. This proposed design helps the robot to walk in its environment with out being controlled by anyone. This proposed design robot walks steadily, according to the early experiment.
Project ObjectivesKey objectives of our projet is that we are going to make a bipedal robot that tries to walk on its 2 legged bsed system like humans. And further more we are going to make it more efficient by adding a feature of object detection in its system with the help of a camera. That will allow our robot to see objects in its surroundings and with that robot will avoid those abjects in its path.
Project Implementation MethodWe are using a raspberry pi for the controlling of our robot. That will be used as the basic controller adn we wil program it using python to controll all the 8 servo motors of our robot in such a way that it will walk. Both legs containing 4 servos in each will be programmed in such a manner that it will walk in a balanced manner without losng its Center Of Mass(COM). Using that microcontroller we will be attaching a camera with it to detect objects in its path.
Benefits of the ProjectA lot of developments have been made in the field of robotics around the world. It is a quike complex field. It requires you study all the mechanical, software, and electrical skills that are required to achieve a certain goal. Robots are helpfull in so many fileds these days. Our project can be modeified and used the field of science, in disaaster places and even for entertainment purposes. People are not much familiar with robots especially with walking robots in Pakistan, this could help some people to gain attention for their business. And lot more.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableOur robots basic technical detail is that we are implementing it using a raspberry pi specifically model 4 B. And for the body of our robot that will support all the 8 motors in it we are using a 3D printed model. 3D printed model is more efficient and easy to use than other resources. Thses models can be easily printed by using a 3D printer and each part can be attached with other by simply using screws, nuts of appropriate size. We have printed our 3D model from lahore and installed it at home by our self. Bought all the servos adn controller from lahore and installed all the softwares are home in it. By installing all these together, now we aer coding it to walk properly.
