Severe movement disorders like Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), is a condition where a patient is awake and aware of its surrounding but unable to communicate or perform any action due to paralysis of almost every voluntary muscles in the body (with the exception of eye movements and blinking). The people who are suffering from severe Cerebral Palsy disorder are unable to communicate, navigate and interact with others.

Brain Computer Interface (BCI) is construed as interacting with an electronic device solely with brain with the help of Electroencephalogram (EEG) Signals. Brain Computer Interfaces (BCIs) helps severely disabled people live a better life with a high degree of independence.

Thought control system is a possible solution as the patient don’t have to undergo any serious operations to get the artificial limbs their permanent body parts, a small size, hand held machine would make them able enough to move real world objects. To help them a system will be developed that can read signals of the brain thoughts and then processed to control home appliances, to communicate through virtual keyboard and guide a wheel chair to move in the surroundings without any human interface.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Final product will be a real time low-cost brain control intelligent device for immobilize person with virtual keyboard.
