It is a project that has been specially designed for reality-based online meetings of public Sector Offices of Pakistan.

AVR Meetings: Augmented and Virtual Reality based Environment for Meetings.  as the name of the project, illustrates that a project with the features and specialties of Augmented and Virtual reality is initiated. Talking of Augmented reality (AR) as a technological enabler, It is becoming very popular in different fields such as education, design, navigation, and medicine. It combines virtual information with the real environment in the real-time performance and enhances the user’s perception such as vision, hearing, touch, and smell with the combination of the real world.  It is an interactive experience of a real-world environment, it can be defined as a system as a combination of real and virtual worlds, real-time interaction, and 3D registration of real and virtual objects. Augmented reality changes the perception of a person about a real-world environment.  Considering Virtual Reality which is a stimulating experience that can be similar or different from the real world. Currently, standard VR systems use either VR headsets or multi-projected environments to generate realistic images, sounds, and other sensations.

So a project is initiated in which a mobile app will be made using virtual and augmented reality features. Basic Augmented Reality features include placement of virtual objects in real world and that would be visible through mobile camera or VR headsets. Virtual Reality will include multiple themes (minimum 2) which will provide a specific environment to the viewer aiding more emotional touch for him which will lead him to get a feeling of reality, even though after physically missing that occasion. People will get connected and have a feel of reality unlike the virtual meetings on other sources. Our project will start from the concept of placing virtual objects in reality that would be visible through a mobile camera, virtual objects would be made through augmented reality using any of the currently available software such as Unity-3D.

We began our project by searching for the related projects and reading research papers regarding our proposed idea and we analyzed the given judgments and reviews by the related researchers. Our project will provide the users with an environment that would provide them a feel and emotion of a certain kind, partly fulfilling the lackness of the user, lackness of having that emotional feel and environment that he would have got if he were physically present at that occasion or place.

Our team will provide the deliverable of this project in the form of a mobile application. In which every user will be given a unique profile with the IDs. The luxury of having remote meetings with the additional features of virtual and augmented reality at a concise and affordable rate for a normal user.  A user will be able to manage one’s account.  

Project Objectives

The primary objective of this project is to provide the user with an affordable and efficient mobile application to a normal user in which he will be given a theme and environment of a specific occasion or an event that will assist the user to have that sense of presence to get rid of regretful feelings.

In our project, we shall be enabling remote participants to coordinate with each other in such a way that that they may well be having the liberty of enjoying the emotional feel and environment of any remote place via hardware such as VR Headsets, sensors, etc that will be having such themes and environment build in it through augmented and virtual reality.

Industry Objectives:
The main objective of this proposed idea is to provide an environment to the user which would give a sense of reality to the user even without being there at that place of event physically. Keeping in mind the market and industry, this project has the objective of producing altogether a new and unique product that would have a great reach because of its compatibility and feasibility.

Research Objectives:
Talking of our region which lacks in many aspects including technology and research. Usage of augmented and virtual reality features is still not that common in our region. Providing altogether a new but nearly real environment to the user and making these features of artificial reality common and providing a way for its in reach and convenient usage for an average local user through research and technology is our actual research objective. This will be opening a new window for the researchers.

Academic Objectives:
AVR Meetings also may well be used for academic purposes in the future, as in the recent past, in the era of lockdown where academics suffered a lot, even though methods of artificial and virtual classes were also practiced as there was no other option left. So in the future, we can expect whole virtual classrooms with the environment and feel of a real classroom using features of augmented reality. This technological revolution might get knock off the conventional system of the classroom. 

Project Implementation Method

The development methodology that is going to be considered to kick start the project and ultimately take it to the line of action and performance is illustrated below:-

Iterative and Incremental methodology will be used for the implementation of our project. 

In iterative and incremental development method both incremental and iterative development method that leads to an evolutionary acquisition or incremental build approach for the development of the complete application. It means that starting with the development of simple chunks separately and adds more functionality that enhances the evolving versions of systems.

The procedure of Iterative and Incremental methodology consists of different steps. In the initialization step, create a basic sample of the application that use to get users to react and get reviews from users. The basic application created in the initialization step act as a key aspect of a problem and provides a solution to the user for his problem that is understandable. In advance steps, after feedback from the user about sample application and complexity added in next steps as a well new feature added for the demand of the user.

The analysis of iteration is base on user reviews and analysis of facilities that are provided by the program. Analysis of the program involves the structure, efficiency, usability, reliability, and achievement of goals.

Requirement Analysis: The most important part of the development of an application is requirements (Functional and non-functional requirements) gathering or analysis. After the requirements, the scope of the project is to be determined in the requirement analysis phase. 

Design: Desired Features and operation described in detail in the design phase that include wireframes, business rules, flow diagrams, and other documentation.

Implementation: Software engineers start writing code for implementation. 

Testing: After implementation finding defects and bugs in the created application is done testing phase

Outputs/Benefits Expected from the Project:
•    It provides you with the facility to access the site from any location. 
•    Customer is able to deal with other people who are at any other place at a time. 
•    It provides you with the facility of having the luxury of using augmented and virtual reality features.
•    It could be a great revolution in virtual meetings for an average customer. As currently virtual meetings are being held but without any additional environment of reality.
•    Privacy and secrecy of meetings would be maintained as no third party could intervene in anyone's personal meetings until he is allowed to do so by the person holding the meeting.

•    A mobile application is expected to be made with features of augmented and virtual reality.
•    A low-cost app is expected that can be easily afforded by an average user.
•    An app with an intractable interface that will be convenient for use of a normal user.
•    User will be having the luxury of enjoying and sensing an environment even after missing the occasion physically.   
•    User will be able to experience such new and eye-catching features that are rare for an average user.
