We are developing a autonomous car that is use to detect the obstacles and automatically deaccelerate it self. Using IR sharp sensor, obstacle can be detect and speed of the car will reduce and then brakes will be applied automatically.
The major objectives of our project is to design automatic braking system in order to avoid vehicle accidents.
- Emergency braking.
- Obstacles detection by using IR sharp.
- Mainly used for driving vehicle at night because driving to long at night a person get tired.
- Accurate then human.

•It is a technology for automobiles to sense an imminent collision with another vehicle, person or obstacle without any driver input.
•IR Sharp (Sensor) to detect other vehicles and obstacles and then give input to the Arduino.
•Servo motor will act according to the Arduino signal.
•Motor Driver and external power supply also used for sensor(s) and servo motor for better performance.
DESCRIPTION:

The key benefits are:
- Detect any obstacles near by the car.
- Sensor can easily attached to the bumper of any vehicle.
- Take less space.
- Help to apply emergency braking at the small town as well as it detect the pedestrian movement.
- Work for lower speed.
We are developing a autonomous car that is use to detect the obstacles and automatically deaccelerate it self. Using IR sharp sensor, obstacle can be detect and speed of the car will reduce and then brakes will be applied automatically.

We are using arduino controller to control the whole process.
IR Sharp sensor used for sensing the obstacle and pneumatic cylinder used for for pressing the brake paddle.
