Automatic temperature control of an instant geyser
Project Area of Specialization Mechatronics EngineeringProject SummaryWe will devise a system that will automatically control the temperature of an instant geyser. It will give the controlled temperature according to a user’s need. It has a second function that it will save energy by preheating the input water. It will be a very efficiently energy-saving instant geyser.
Project ObjectivesDesign of an instant geyser.
To achieve a constant output temperature with constant and variable water temperature at the inlet.
To recover energy from used water.
Project Implementation Method- We are designing a system as if we have a constant or variable input, the output temperature must be constant.
- In domestic instant geysers if temperature is variable, the output may increase or decrease accordingly.
- The main component is the geyser which we will use for the instant heating of water. Water is the input to a geyser and there will be a change of temperature for output.
- We have designed a 3d printed servo controlled valve. It will be open at required degrees to control the flow of gas..
- We will recover energy from used water by preheating the input water. By this technique, energy will be saved.
All amount of heat saved and nore efficent geyser.Automatic temperature Control system is basically focused to achieve the constant output temperature. There is a timely feedback from the ds18b20 temperature sensor which is helping to remove the temperature error. In conventional instant geysers, the initial output temperature of the oulet comes at the normal temperature and then suddenly too hot water comes from the oulet. After this, the desired temperature achieves. But in our system, there is a constant output temperature from the start by using servo controlled valve.
When our desired temperature achieves, we use this waste water to preheat the input water with the help of finned tube heat exchanger. There are two inlets for the input water one is for the constant input water and the other one is through the heat exchanger.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableWe will devise a system that will control the temperature of an instant gas geyser and save energy by using a preheater at the input. In current gas geysers, the outlet temperature may vary by constant heating and we have no control over this thing. In this system, much of the energy lost because the valve of the gas geyser is set manually and the input water is under constant burning. If input water is variable then due to constant burning output water temperature will also be changed. We will recover energy from waste water which have no use.
