Project Area of Specialization Augmented and Virtual RealityProject SummaryAutomatic Modelling is a Django web-based application which converts 2d floor plan into 3d visualization. Firstly, the user will input the 2d Floor plan image into an application which will be validated by our system. After that walls and different objects of the 2d map will be detected as per trained neural networks and then it will be converted into 3d design which is done by three.js, a 3d library of Javascript. Our application will provide some rendering options like changing textures and objects through drag and drop. Then it can be downloaded as an image and as a file too. It can be rendered in different tools like Blender, AutoCad.
Project Objectives- Conversion of the 2d Floor plan model into 3d automatically.
- 3d modeling of walls and objects.
- Objects can be replaced with its variety.
- To save time, cost and efforts of architects
- Users and architects can visualize any floor map.
- Along with the 3d designer, a non-technical user can also use our product and modify the model.
- 3d model can be modified as many times as the user wants.
- 3d model created in our application can be rendered in Blender and AutoCad.
1) First of all, we will train the model of detecting walls and objects.
2)Then we will create a 3d demo model.
3)After that, Django web-based application will be created
4)The user will input image then trained models will detect walls and objects and extracted points of walls and objects will be executed using three.js and the 3d model will be displayed.
5) Users can download the 3d file.
6) Rendering options will be available in an application like changing objects and textures.
Benefits of the Project1) User will be able to generate 3d model in 10-15 minutes
2) It will save time and cost of an architect because it provides the basic demo of 3d which can be rendered in an application.
3)3d model can be downloaded in obj. format which can be used in blender and AutoCad.
4) It's a completely automatic process so that non-technical users can also use it.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableThis Project is based on a web-based application made on Django. There are two parts to the project. One is the detection of walls and objects using a trained neural network. The second one is 3d modeling. 3d modeling is done by three.js, a library of Javascript.
