Automatic driver drowsiness detection
Project Area of Specialization Artificial IntelligenceProject SummaryAccording to WHO data published in May 2014, road traffic accidents in Pakistan reached 30,310 or 2.69% of total deaths. One major cause of these accidents is driver drowsiness. Our main idea is to develop a simulation that will control the driver drowsiness based on digital image processing (DIP) in real time. It will also contain hardware parts like a camera to monitor the video in real time and an alarm system to notify the driver. It will also keep the record of the duration of drowsiness to check quality of driving.
Project Objectives- The proposed system provides a simulation solution to this problem.
- The proposed system after working will actually turns into a simulation that tracks the person eyes ,yawn ,head and shoulder posture
- Providing a real time simulation that:
- Continuously monitors the driver eyes, yawn, head and shoulder posture during driving.
- Gives an alert to the driver if he/she is about to fall asleep
we use image processing technique .
Benefits of the Projectfurther on this project will be usefull for the drivers who feel drowsy while driving
