Automatic Car Parking Indicator System using QR code
Parking is a problem for everywhere now a days due to the increasing population. So we should have to solve it by finding its proper solution that helps to getting rid from this rising problem due to lack management of parking system. Although many traditional system consist but they are not perfect. Hence this project offers a android based reservation system where users can view various parking areas and select the space to view whether space is available or not. In every organization there is different parking system that produce some problems for customers. So the aim of this application is to provide a dynamic solution using the latest technique i.e. QR code for the users ease. This system runs on a mobile phone platform and provides a visual display of parking slots available to the user so that the user can book or reserve a space. The user needs to scan the QR Code while parking and unparking the vehicle. The action of the user is then reflected in the database. This system reducing the fuel consumption, user’s frustration. It reduces vehicle travel time and parking time.
This system reduces the time which is involved in searching the parking space thus reducing the fuel consumption, user’s frustration. It reduces vehicle travel time and parking time. In fast forward world of technology everyone is running behind time. Thus the main motivation of technology is to produced a time and cost efficient product. Since mobile phones have become universal in our lives. Efforts are being made to develop applications that can use mobile phone as a payment instrument for reservation. such application will play an even important role in a heavily populated country thereby allowing the people to save a lot of time by avoiding never ending queues. We can reserve cars with the help of a smart phone application, where your reservation details can be carried in your phone. The reserving information of the user is stored in the database. It uses the smart phones facility to validate the reservation. The checker can asks the serial number to user and put this number in to our or checker application and check in the database if the number is valid.

1. GPS:- GPS receivers take this information and use trilateration to calculate the user's exact location.
2. QR code:- QR or Quick Response Codes are a type of two-dimensional barcode that can be read using smartphones and dedicated QR reading devices, that link directly to text, emails, websites, phone numbers and more! You may have even got to this site by scanning a QR code.
3. Scanner:- A scanner is a device that captures images from photographic prints, posters, magazine pages, and similar sources for computer editing and display. Scanners come in hand-held, feed-in, and flatbed types and for scanning black and-white only, or color.

They are used in this technique to solve the increasing traffic problem by providing the required information to the driver. It is implemented in following ways:-
? Initially parking spaces with their longitude and latitude is registered on the map server to make the system more dynamic by using internet. ? Each parking space is uniquely identified by QR Code. The QR code was generated using fields like space id, latitude and longitude of the space. The QR code is printed and affixed at the corresponding parking spaces. ? A database that shows all the mapped parking spaces with their attributes is created. A web server Application Programming Interface, API is established and published over the internet. ? The user can then access the API using application. The user willing to use the application must be connected to the internet via his phone. The user has to download the application and install the application on his android smartphone. User has to register himself to the system by giving details like name, password, email-id, phone number. The user can then log in to the system whenever they needs to reserve a parking space or use the available space.
