We will provide an Automated wheel chair where the patient is going to be at ease and his/her health condition will be checked regularly. And the report obtained after monitoring will be sent to the specified Doctor. It will have a source of entertainment for the patient as well.
Nowadays the wheelchairs available are manual. There are a very few are automated wheelchair available in market. Also there isn’t any monitoring facility in today’s automated wheelchair. So we are designing an automated wheelchair which will have health monitoring facility and will be controlled through minor gesture of patient so that a fully paralyzed patient can control the wheelchair easily.
After the completion of this “Automated Wheel Chair’, we will have a wheel chair in market through which the following objects will be achieved:
*Automated Gesture controlling of wheel chair.
*Self recharging using Solar panel.
*Temperature, Heart beat and blood pressure monitoring.
*Report of Health monitored sent to specified doctor.
*Notification of wheelchair status.

Benefits of the Project‘Automated Wheel Chair ‘ would be a very unique because
it will be “gesture controlled”. So a fully paralyzed person can drive the wheel chair with a small gesture
Also there will be a self recharging system using a solar panel, and the solar panel will be installed in such a way that it will act as a roof over head of the patient to keep him safe from rain and hot sun rays.
Another feature is having a meter where battery charging percentage can be seen so that patient should be aware of how much battery is charged.
There will be a screen installed for entertainment.
A mileage meter will be there so that patient can see how much he has driven the wheelchair.
There will be temperature and heart beat sensors which would check the temperature of patient’s body and his/her heart beat regularly.
The blood pressure of the patient will be also monitored on regular basis.
The report of heart beat, temperature and blood pressure of the patient will be sent to the specified doctor through a SMS.
The main controller is Arduino Uno.
Attached will be sensors. Gesture, temp,heartbeat, blood pressure sensors.
Batteries Will be recharged through solar panel and AC charging system.
the communication b/w gesture sensors is wireless.
