The project aims at fabricating a fully automated grass cutter and disinfector system that makes its operation running through the solar energy to avoid air pollution. This can be the best alternative for environmentally hazard grass cutter and is an application of green computing. This also provides 2 in 1 system by providing cutter and disinfector in one system that is best implement for current pandemic situation to avoid COVID. This system will be best implemented in the areas where there is an adequate supply of the solar energy i.e. sunny areas and hot regions. This will help the people by operating without any human interaction. The people who are very busy with their work routine or have online jobs, it will be helpful for them.

Automated Solar Powered Grass Cutter and Disinfector is applicable in many areas i.e. lawns, gardens, hospitals, universities, colleges, garden, parks and other agriculture areas for cutting the grass effectively. It generates a beep when cutting/spraying is complete. Hence, it can be used efficiently with less/no human interaction.
Emerging Technologies Used
We used Green Computing that benefits the environment and Economy. Reduced energy usage from green techniques translates into lower carbon dioxide emissions, stemming from a reduction in the fossil fuel used in power plants and transportation. Green Computing is saving energy and resources saves money. Moreover, Solar Energy is becoming increasingly attractive as a renewable energy source because of its inexhaustible supply and its nonpolluting character, in stark contrast to the finite fossil fuels coal, petroleum, and natural gas.
Correlation with the industrial practices and trends
In the market, there are multiple grass cutter, but most of them operates on electricity and fuel. In Contrary, we used Solar Energy that does not have any waste residue and also has less wear and tear of components. Moreover, it also reduces the Global Warming effect by reducing the amount of harmful radiations of the sun from the Ecosystem.
Disinfector module of the implement is not yet available in the pakistan market. This implement will the best for the current panedemic situation.
Project Objective
To design a fully automated grass cutter and disinfector system that is able to cover the entire lawn/area and is able to operate functionally without any human interaction. The main objective is to make a device that is fully automated so that it can be helpful for those people who have very busy schedule/tough daily routine. The proposed System leads to an implement that is pollution free and don’t have harmful effects on the environment. The system will help to reduce global warming effect by using the sun radiations that are harmful to the ecosystem. The Proposed System is also very effective for current pandemic due to its disinfector Module.
Project Implementation Method
The Proposed System receives solar radiation from the sun. Solar panel converts solar energy into electrical energy. This electrical energy is stored in the battery. The grass cutting and disinfector motors are connected to the battery through connecting wires. The cutting blades and sprinkler tap the power from BLDC motor and which in turn actuates the blades and hence rotating blades cut the grass/ sprays. During its operation, control is switched between the cutter and disinfector by pushing their ON buttons respectively. The other 2 dc motors are used for the wheels. Between these two motors, driver is provided. It starts and stops the working of the motor. From this motor, the power transmits to the mechanism and this makes the blade to rotate with high speed and this makes to cut the grass/sprays.
Ultrasonic Sensor will detect obstacles and corners. When an obstacle can’t be overcome by the system, it will generate beep to alert the user. Gyroscope and accelerometer sensor detect rotation and orientation respectively to enable turns. Color sensor detects the color of the grass and ensures that cutting is complete. It also generates a beep when cutting/spraying is complete.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable
The final deliverable of the project is a hardware system that consists of two main modules i.e.Grass Cutter and Spray Disinfector. During its operation, user will switch between the cutter and disinfector by using their controls respectively. The Proposed System provides the user with 2 in 1 System that allows to cut the grass by using the Solar Energy and spraying to clean the atmosphere during current pandemic situation. This implement is the best for current crisises that has destroyed many economies. The final deliverable of the System also deals with the problems that are faced by the user of previous technologies of the grass cutters.
The operation method of the previous technologies for grass cutting although effective, is to a certain degree inefficient and contribute to a quite costly end product. They are not very efficient due to the fact that it is required that the robot crosses the same location more than once, consequently more energy is dissipated and the overall completion time is extended. This projected solution is more efficient and reliable and also deals with the problems in the previous technologies by ensuring complete lawn coverage with reduced completion time.
