Project Summary

 Our Automated Greenhouse System is capable of monitoring (temperature, humidity, light, and moisture in the soil). Suppose a person who is a plant lover he constantly checks on his plants and he is usually not at home or outside city/country. Our system provides ease of accessing these information logs over the internet so it can be convenient for any person to access it at any place or time.

Project Objectives

 This project consequently controls natural conditions inside nursery enabling any sort of plants to be developed throughout the entire year. Our project will mainly focus on the following objectives:

Build a miniature greenhouse which is equipped with automatic monitoring and controlling system.
Constantly monitoring and controlling environmental conditions in greenhouse to ensure its remains at a preset temperature, light, moisture, and humidity level.
It focuses on saving water, increasing efficiency and reducing the environmental impacts on plant production.
The user can see the atmospheric conditions of the greenhouse plants on the website.
 

Project Implementation Method

The system is capable of monitoring the plant and ensure all the needs (Temperature, light, moisture ins oil and humidity level ). several sensors are used in the project 
Data is sent and received from Arduino to node MCU module and my SQL 
other hardware components are working on a condition which is as follows:
Lower Temperature: 1 cooling fan 
Rise Temperature: Heater (indicated by the bulb for demonstration purposes)
Decrease Humidity level: 1 Exhaust fan
Increase Moisture Level: Water pump connected to a water tank.
Increase lightening condition: Fluorescent light-bulb
Transmission data over the internet: Node MCU (Wi-Fi module)  
External sunlight: Servomotor
The user can see the atmospheric conditions of the greenhouse plants on the website.
 

Benefits of the Project

  1. Automatically control environmental conditions within greenhouse allowing any type of plants to be grown all year round.
  2. Eliminates risk of greenhouse not being maintained at specific environmental conditions due to human errors.
  3. Minimizes labor costs involved in maintaining a greenhouse.
  4. Customer able to define specific greenhouse conditions.
  5. Plug and play product.

The system provides ease of accessing these information logs over the internet so it can be convenient for any person to access it at any place or time
Engineering knowledge acquired over the years fully applied and tested.
Acquired many new skills and knowledge improved researching and troubleshooting techniques.
Believe that product will be successful in the market as the “Push for Green” and environmental concerns intensify in the near feature.
