Project Objectives

The main idea of our project is to automate the fuel station. People don’t have to wait in lines for their turn so that they can fill their petrol tank but, by using our application they can fix their appointment and they can come at their reserved time.

Project Implementation Method The implementation stage involves careful planning, investigation of the existing system and its constraints on implementation, designing of methods to achieve changeover and evaluation of changeover methods.

ANDROID APPLICATION:

Android software stack for mobile devices that features an OS, middleware and key applications. android may be a code platform and software for mobile devices supported the linux OS and developed by Google and also the Open Handset Alliance.

  1. Customer registration and Login:

User has the responsible to register before login within the app, the user has got to register along with his Username and password variety of these information has been keep to backend service of android Firebase Database.

  1. Making Reservation in suitable slot:

System should allow the user to book the available space for specific time slots and mark it as “booked”, furthermore booked space will not be available for anyone at that specific time. User can reschedule the booked space anytime.

  1. Payment Method:

System should calculate the total cost incurred for fuel amount based on the time of booking. It uses Payment Gateway Integration at backend.

  1. QR Code Generation:

A QR code is generated to verify the customer at filling station.

FUEL SYSTEM:

A Raspberry pi 4 is embedded on fuel system. The OS which Raspberry pi run is Raspbian and all of its coding is done in SD card which is a best option. Python will be used as a programming language of raspberry pi.

INTERCOMMUNICATION BETWEEN APPLICATION AND SYSTEM:

For backend communication of an android application with the server/system API are created. We create REST API’s on java or python.

Benefits of the Project

The benefits of our project will be that time will be saved for each person using our application. It is practically possible for those who fix their appointment and in this way time will be managed and after implementing and testing it successfully we can fully automate any petrol pump.

We are using these most significant features for customer i.e.

  1. User can able to view the nearest fuel station.
  2. The System will suggest the user for available time slot according to his location using AVL.
  3. Customer can make online reservation without wasting his time in a long queue.
  4. He can make online payment through Payment Gateway Integration using his card.
  5. The user will be verified by his assigned QR code.
  6. Customer can reschedule his timings.
  7. Customer can change his car number, so that he can send either of his known person when he is not available at given timing.
