Automated Dustbin
With the increase of population, the scenario of cleanliness with respect to garbage management is degrading tremendously. In city there are many public places there we see that dustbins are placed but are overflowing. This creates unhygienic condition in the nearby surrounding. To avoid such situation, we come up with project called “Automated Dustbin”. As there are some projects related to garbage but some of them are just working on its collection or identifying its garbage levels. The movement of automated smart dustbin by communicating with the user through mobile app is the main thing that make our project unique from the existing projects, we try to make less interaction of human in garbage industry as waste is unhygienic to human health.
Objectives of the project:
The actual targets for development of the Automated Dustbin, in order to solve the aforementioned situation, were set as follows:
• Design of an automated dustbin which can sense the upper level
• Android based mobile app to navigate the dustbin
• Implementation of LFR to move the dustbin on a specified path and dumping the trash by the implementation of motorized mechanism.
• Interfacing of sensors with Arduino and complete integration of components to automate the idea
Automating the process of carrying and dumbing the garbage present in the bin. The way to go about it by keeping an eye on the level of the bin and as soon as it gets filled, the user gets notified of the status through the mobile app.The process of carrying and dumping is supported by automating the bin with the help of the base robotic cart, they will help in moving it from the given position to its destination(garbage dump). When its reach to its dumping point then they will up itself by using mechanism.
Benefits of the Project are as follows:
Hardware:
hardware consists of dustbin,LFR and motorized system (for dumping the trash).
Dustbin
Ultrasonic sensor attach to the bin to detect the level.
LFR
LFR follows the designated path to reach the dumping area.
Motorized System
Used to lift up the dustbin and flip the trash into the container.
Software:
We are using app to notify the user about the bin level and for this we are using the tool android studio IDE andlanguage flutter (dart).
