Automated Bug Triaging
In our research paper, we are proposing the best group of algorithms to apply to achieve the best possible accuracy in bug triaging to overcome time and financial cost of projects as well as reduce the frustration level within the teams of developers by rightly assigning bug reports to relevant developers to solve.
Our objective is to define a clearer pathway to achieve better accuracy in assigning bug reports to the relevant developers by automating the whole bug triaging process using multiple algorithms of NLP and their combinations.
We are using 6 algorithms of Natural Language Processing and their combinations. We are comparing accuracy reports of these algorithms and will be suggesting the best performing algorithms to achieve our target. We will be comparing these algorithms with Convolutional Neural Network performance as well. All the research work is being done in the light of real-time coding in Jupyter Notebook using Python language.
The proposed method will help big firms reduce financial and time cost in resolving bugs by assigning bug reports to the relevant developers.
We are using Natural Language Processing (ML/AI) to automate bug triaging method instead of manually triaging bug to the developers. The research work is being done using 6 algorithms which are Bag of words, TF-IDF, Latent Dirichlet Allocation, Naive-Bayes algorithm, K nearest Neighbour and Random Forest. Apart from these algorithms, we are working on Convolutional Neural Network to help get the best result out of it.
