It will be capable of movement, navigation, executing and accepting low level commands as well as high level. It can be use independently due to its features like Self charging, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity.
Its reliable Intelligence features like objects and person detection will make it worth more than a security surveillance system.
Project Objectives- To develop a human and environment friendly Security Solution.
- To develop a Low cost and reliable solution for the Security needs
- To make a high level Intelligent system that can understand it’s surroundings and peoples intention.
- To perform repetitive tasks that are annoying for humans
- To train the and implement the deep learning Model for security purpose
This robot design is divided into two main sections or layers.
- Navigation Layer
- Intelligence I/O Laye
Navigation Layer:
The Navigation Layer performs movement and navigation of the robot. Physically it will be the base of the robot and will be responsible for the mobility and power of the whole robot. Specifically performing the low level commands navigation layer hold the foundation importance for the whole project.
All of the low level features are the properties of the navigation layer. The main components of navigation layers are as follows;
Main Components:
- Arduino Mega2560
- DC Motors and wheels
- Motor Controllers
- Main Power (Battery)
- Low Level Sensors
Intelligence I/O Layer:
This is the “brains” of the robot. This layer holds the Single Board Computer (SBC) and hosts main advance sensors like LiDAR and Camera. It controls the Navigation layer and it communicates with the Environment Input/Output. It also controls the robots master communications, allowing the device to interact with people.
This layer will communicate with the other layers using Ethernet and can also make use of Bluetooth and WiFi. It will also have direct connections to some of the I/O devices such as video cameras.
All of the low level features are the properties of the navigation layer. The main components of Intelligence Input Output layer are as follows;

- Nvidia Jetson Nano Developer Kit (SBC)
- Camera
- RP-LiDAR
- Microphone
- Speaker
- High level sensors
Advantages:
- The robot will be working as a security guard and surveillance system
- Efficient for indoor areas security
- Can operate in empty area, like house
- It will add another layer of security to the system
- It overcomes the drawbacks of Human Security guard
As a final product, it will be;
- Complete Wheel based Robot
- Aluminum frame (body)
- using 2 DC motors
- 18ah battery for strong backup
- Single board computer (NVIDIA JETSON NANO 4GB) for AI Processing
- Including high level sensor like LIDAR for surrounding mapping and 360 degree surveillance
- Camera to Identify and recognize Persons
- Camera to recognize harmful objects and gestures
