The annual damage inflicted by birds in the Pakistan agricultural sector is estimated at over millions of rupees. At waste management sites, birds pick up waste and drop it in the surroundings. They can become aggressive, damage cars and buildings and spread diseases with their droppings. Nothing, however, tops the risks birds cause at airports. Bird strikes caused billions in delays and damages to airplanes worldwide, unwillingly.
These little flyers. But the safety and lives of passengers at risk. There are many means of birth control available to try and keep birds at bay. Birds, however, are smart, very smart. In most cases, habituation occurs fast since these scare tactics do not trigger the instinct of birds and they overcome their fear of the unknown. If we take a neutral enemy like a bird of prey, birds fly away because of their instinctual fear for a predator.
Unfortunately, it is very difficult to work with real birds of prey in a completely safe, controlled and efficient way. The idea of a robotic bird of prey that cannot be distinguished from its living counterpart in the appearance of a falcon and eagle.
The imitation of silhouette, flapping wing motion and flight behavior will make birds react instinctively without chances of habituation, not just scaring birds, but truly bird control. In a highly efficient, natural way, a robot can chase away birds while the pilot is in full control of what happens in the air with prolonged use, an ecosystem will change. Birds learn to avoid the hunting grounds of a bird, with populations dropping significantly cleaner flight solutions.
Project Objectives- Decrease the agricultural and flights loss due to birds
- Traditional drones are very much known to the Criminals. so it will be a different method to chase or capture any person.
- A low cost solution withhigh efficiency
In fisrt part wings of the bird will be prepared by using physics laws. This is the crutial part of the project, then a 5V servo motor for wings and 5 V for the tail will be used to control the flight of bird. All this will be possible due to flight controller. A sound detecting sensor, mic and video camera will be connected with the raspberry pi zero to send the video to the control room. An alogorithm will be implemented on the raspberry pi to detect the desired objects and sounds.
