Project Summary

 Anomaly Detection Surveillance System project is used to reduce a robberies, thievery, breaking and entering to the house and stealing different important items and money of the people. Our system Anomaly Detection Surveillance System is to detect such like unusual activities whenever takes place in the houses. It will inform the owner of the house and also starts an alarm to listen by other people which then take a quick action against it and inform the other government authorities. The system will capture an images and record a video whenever an intruder is detected In restricted area. Anomaly Detection Surveillance System will store the valid person data with itself then it will read these data and compare it with another one which is taking from a camera. It will find a difference between the valid person and unknown person by detecting his face and body language by comparing with the data which is trained by the system.

Project Objectives

The objective of these project is;

To reduce or overcome theft action, attacking on houses stealing important goods from peoples houses. 

To inform the owner of the house on time whenever some irrelevant activity is detected.

Project Implementation Method

We use different algorithms for this project.

For face detection we use a Haar Cascade algorithms which detect faces from the a live camera feed.

For face recognition we use a Local Binary Pattern Histogram (LPBH) algorithm which recognize the faces of the humans.

We take help form the fomous  computer vision library OpenCV in which we apply all these alogrithms. 

Benefits of the Project

This project system will inform the perosn (owner) on time whenever an unusual activity is detected by the system. 

The owner will take action action on time against it. The main benefit is that there will be no big loss done.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Raspberry pi is used when to implement the system.

The camera with high quality is used for the detection of person and recognizing their faces and detecting of different activities such as offensive, distributive and unusual activties.
