Project Summary

Our project “Van Schedule Manager” is for university students who uses van services for transportation. Students in my university are facing problems that van’s drivers note their pickup and drop-off time on diaries and sometimes they misplace their diaries or miscommunication occurs so problems arise at that stage. To solve this problem we are developing an App. This app will have three modules that are owner, drivers and students.

Owner will be the main person of service who controls and manages whole services. He can manage records of drivers, buses, routes, timings and students. Drivers will verify that students of that shift are arrived or not. Students can register themselves in particular service and can book their pickup/drop-off ride. They can track their bus location after booking.

Project Objectives

The Goals of this project is to overcome student’s problem and providing maximum features to all users. We aims to develop an app which will solve student/parents/drivers van problem. Student can select service according to their route and institute. Student can book their ride according to service’s pickup and drop-off time. Parents can view their child location on map. Parents can see van timing and van updates on map. Student can give feedback about Driver. Drivers will get rid of their notepad. They will easily see students of that shift on this app.

We are ensuring child’s safety through this app. Parent will get notification when their child arrive on bus. They can also see bus location on map. There will be emergency option for students. In case of emergency student can call directly to parent and notification of emergency will be sent to owner.

Owner and students are also connected by reviews. Students can complaint about driver or any other difficulty they face by using their service. They can also give suggestion to owner about how can they make their service more efficient.

Project Implementation Method

This app has 3 modules.

1. Owner (Admin)

• Admin can accept student van request.
• Admin can set all vans routes.
• Admin can send updates about their services
• Admin can cancel student membership.
• Can view student profile.
• Can reschedule van timings.
• Can cancel van timings etc.
• Admin receive notification when student update his/her profile.

2. Van Driver/Vans Manager(Admin)

• Driver receive notification when student is seated in van.
• Driver can see student’s drop-off location.
• Driver receive notification when student select his/her route.
• Driver can mark which students are dropped.

3. Student

• Student can create account.
• Student can update his/her profile.
• Student can select van of his/her route.
• Student can cancel van and reselect another.
• Can select his/her route.
• Can select timings.
• Can give feedback about van drivers.

Benefits of the Project
