Today, Google and other search engines are smarter than ever—they use machine learning to help process and rank information, and can understand natural human speech. Google’s unique and improving algorithm has made it one of the most popular search engines of all time. These days the data present on the web has gotten so vast that it has become imperative that it be organized and structured into specific domains so that searching relevant information can be made easier. The proposed vertical search engine will search data of a specific domain, namely of movies and TV-Series. The vertical search engine that we aim to implement will streamline the searching process. It will narrow down the search through filters, allowing the user to attain highly specific and accurate search results. This system will also provide the visual representation of search results that would enable the users to achieve better understanding of their search

Technical Details of Final DeliverablePython will be the primary programming language used in the project. JavaScript can be used to develop the frontend of the search engine. IMDBpy is a python based APi that will be used to extract data from IMDb database. Gephi will be used for the visualization of the data. React framework can be used for the frontend of the search engine. 3 Redis is an open source (BSD licensed), in-memory data structure store, used as a database, cache, and message broker. Redis provides data structures such as strings, hashes, lists, sets, sorted sets with range queries, bitmaps, hyperloglogs, geospatial indexes, and streams.
