Our project is based on IOT based technology to acheive portable solution for vehical/driver recognition. Purpose of our project is to provide security like safe city project in Pakistan by providing cost effective and portable solutions to monitor vehicles and drivers identification in and out ways of cities. Moreover our project secures the vehicles from unrecognized person by capturing face and communicates with the home land security. Furthermore our designed system will capable to maintain vehical movement detail for installed location.

Project Implementation Method

There are following procedural steps we are considering to implement our project:

Hardware Procurement:

First we need to procure necessary hardware for our project development i.e IOT device(Raspberry Pi), camera, Power Supply, display interface,looms(wires), GSM module and some wireless peripherals if required.

System Assembling:

Next step is to assembled all necessary hardware according to requirements and verify their connectivity and arrangements.

Software Development:

Our core project implementation is based on software development. There are several stages of software development which are as follow:

System Testing:

Our final goal is to arrange some real scenario where we can develop our system and evaluate its performance.

Camera is used for capture image of number plate and face.

Microcontroller:

Raspberry pi is used for image processing/Algorithm.

Power supply:

Operating voltage:  DC 5V.

Powered by batteries(backup voltage).

Connectivity :

Connectivity between modules through Wi-Fi.

Display:

TFT(thin-fim transistor)/(touch screen).

Text messaging:

GSM module is used for sending text messaging.
