After a deep study on 3D printers, we decided to make a printer that is cheap in cost & can be built while using local resources. Our project is cost-effective & reliable for simple prototyping purposes. In it, we use ABS & PLA materials as raw materials & used the FDM technique to build 3D objects.
The fundamental objective of our project is to create a 3D printer that is economic and can make the basic types of 3D objects. It is simply a prototyping machine that can be very helpful in education & etc.
We first research a lot about the 3D printer that is currently on the market after that we purchase some parts from the local market to build it. It is consist of an aluminum frame with stepper motors, power supply, hotbed &, etc. first we need to make a CAD drawing then slice it & save it in STL format. After that send the g-coded file to the controller which further process the object by layer by layer addition of melted plastic.
The main purpose to create this project is to make an economical 3D printer that can be user-friendly and can convert different ideas in the form of drawing into 3D objects. It has wide usage in the automotive sector as well as in the construction of 3D printed homes
Our project is based on a microcontroller-based 3D printing machine that can build an object of 100 mm3. It contains stepper motors, belt & pulley, metal frame, etc. We just need to build a 3D CAD drawing on AutoCAD & save it in STL format. After that slice, the object through a slicing software & save a g-coded file which will be further sent to the controller to execute the function.
